Ask me seven questions. Not just any seven questions though. No, to keep it interesting, use the seven questions as per below - just copy and paste the following, replace the blanks with something you want to know/ask (e.g., 3. Donkeys or sandcastles and why?), anything you want, personal, silly, surreal or deep, comment away and I'll answer honestly as I can! Then post this in your own LJ and see what kind of things people want to ask you!

*Only if you want to, of course. ;)

1. What do you think of other kinds of "magic" (card readers, psychics, ghosts talkers...)?

I hate those fuckers...maybe it's a little crass of me to say, but I really have a problem with some of them. Entertainers like you? It's fine...the money they collect is for the suspension of disbelief, they're not that different from us. It's when the illusion becomes a scam that I get seriously pissed. I'm a believer, too, so show me something real? And I'll be down with it.

2. When did you last attend a magic show?

I was INCREDIBLY fortunate to have seen Siegfried and Roy before the incident with the tiger. I'm sure it wasn't the last show I saw? But it was the most memorable. I mean, as much as the art has changed, they still can't be rivaled for their illusions. High volume show, fast-paced tricks, and theatricality you can't freakin' beat.

3. Scapism or mentalism and why?

Escapism. I love mentalism? But escapism impresses me more because it's a gimmick the audience is in on. They know how it's done...locks are picked, things are rigged, the agreement is made between illusionist and audience member not to worry about that. The fact is, escapes are seriously dangerous under most circumstances, and the trick is not getting loose. It's getting loose, staying safe and alive, and making it entertaining. It's also a showcase for a performer's physical ability. I like to think of it as magic athletics.

4. What did you do first after you discovered your levitating ability?

Honest? I spent half the day, starting at my office, hopping rooftops all over the city. Less traffic than driving, and I was careful enough to avoid being spotted. People can get really absorbed, ya know? Miss things right over their heads...

5. What's your favourite gooffing-off activity?

Working out at the gym. Few years ago, I turned to martial arts as a way to get in shape, and it's really been fun for me. I'm a green belt in shotokan karate. I'd be higher, maybe? But the school I used to attend closed down. These days I kickbox and take a tai chi class my gym offers, and I like it as a form of meditation. Real relaxing, it's very cool. But yeah, that's my best way to blow off steam. Plus the gym is the main place me and my best friends hang.

6. How would you approach a skeptic?

With honesty. Some are out to disprove everything, but the rest? They want to see something real, and they're very open. So I'd prove myself. Simple, unabashed truth. Then again, I'd never really go to someone with that, because the truth is? Most people ain't ready for the truth.

7. Who would you most like to become like some day?

Jeez, a lot of things really. As good as Houdini (dreaming), maybe make a name for myself as a real artist? Maybe just a husband and father, get to see my kids grow up. With my life expectancy, though, and what I know about my heritage...now I'm not so sure.

1. I agree with you in the scam part. But I can't help but getting excited when they show me just a tiny bit of their abilities...

2. Oh, I saw them too! But that was years ago, when I just started my training. My tutor took me to their show. Yeah, they rocked.

3. "Magic athletics" sound cool. *smiles* But mentalism for me is more fascinating. Like you said, people know the deal with escapism. Mentalism on the other hand... has more mystery, let' say.

4. *laughs* I believe you there. The first time I was able to do a card trick, I run around my neighbourhood asking evrybody "Pick a card!". *giggles and blushes*

5. Woah, you're like a bodyguard! Impressive! *chuckles* I do some beach sports and drive my bycicle, but don't ask for much more movement from me...

6. You really are nice. I lost my patience with them...

7. You'd be a bit more optimistic. I'm sure you could be an awesome artist if you get your mind into it. I'd ask why you aren't sure about fatherhood anymore, but something tells me you won't tell me this neither because of the "danger"...

Muahahahaha

1. What do you think of coffee? (Do not mock this question. It's important.)

Hey, I'm the last guy you'll hear dissing coffee. I live on the stuff, especially when I'm working late or something. Believe it or not, I actually find coffee very soothing. Maybe it's bad for me? But I really like to have a little before bed at night if I'm having trouble sleeping. Very little, mind you, I know it's bad for me, but the taste and the smell of it...yeah, coffee's kind of a comfort drink for me. Don't ask me why.

2. When did you last make a complete fool of yourself? (gory details encouraged)

Falling on my ass in kickboxing class the other day? Gosh, I dunno...wait. No, I do know. I went out and got drunk with my boys, Jay and Mike Kellar? Bad, bad move. We got into this stupid truth or dare drinking game that I lost, so I had to get naked in public at a hotel pool. I was drunk and crazy, so I did it the only way I knew I could without fainting or something: I pulled a Houdini and did a naked escape. Think the hundred foot rope escape, only I did it with a hundred feet of lightweight chain and six padlocks. Jumped in the pool and escaped in about two and a half minutes. I know the trick like the back of my hand, I'd just never done it before, but I found out later that I had some help from my powers in getting loose.

3. Boxers or briefs and why?

Aw, Jesus, why you gotta ask me stuff like that, huh? Uh...briefs. When I do wear 'em.

4. What did you do the first time you experienced loss? (I want details on this one too)

Aw, I was a mess. I'm talking about death, because I've moved a few times in my life; I was born in New York, then we moved to Vegas and finally LA. It was my papouli, and I was fourteen. He was my dad's father, and it just broke my pops. Still, he got me through it...I missed a few days of school for the funeral, and just because I was so shook up? But I came back in time to take a final I needed so I could play a big baseball game that was coming up. Without my dad...I don't much know what I would've done.

5. What's your favorite song of all time?

God, you're makin' me choose? Okay, fine...I guess really, of all time, I have to say "Paranoid" by BLACK SABBATH.

6. How would you like to see your life turn out?

This really isn't as grim as it sounds, I swear: ending in a manner I could live with.

7. Who would you most like to see naked? (Dead or Alive)

Are you trying to make me blush? Seriously. Uh...dead, maybe Betty Grable. She had the greatest legs. Living? Please don't kill or laugh at me, but Ambre Lake from VH1's ROCK OF LOVE, Season 2. Yes, I've watched it, yes I'm insane. There was a marathon, I couldn't help myself. Anyway, I think she's really very good looking, so...ah...yeah.

Can I just go pull an ostrich and hide my head in the sand now?

*Gives a little round of applause* You did so good.

1. I know exactly what you mean on the comfort drink thing. I have most of my coffee after lunch. Doctor told me once that finding it soothing like that could be a sign of ADD since it actually calms down hyper kids. This is an important question to me because believe it or not I have a hard time trusting people that don't like coffee. I know that it's wrong and completely unfair but that's just how it is. I'm a beverage snob apparently.

2. Sorry I missed it. That's the sort of amenity I'd pay extra for.

3. Hey! These are my 7 questions and I can ask whatever I want. If I want to know about your undies that my prerogative. By the way, I think it's cool you rock the briefs. Don't know a lot of guys that do anymore though I totally had you pegged for a free baller. No visible panty lines. *winks*

4. Wow. Fourteen seems so young to have to loose someone that close to you. I'm sorry. It's good that you had your dad. Sounds like you guys are close.

5. Oooh You just won so many points. Not only did you go classic rock but you went Sabbath. Not to mention I like kill this song on guitar hero. So points aplenty.

6. You have some of the most romantic ideas about life and death that I've ever heard. And I hope you don't take this the wrong way but I never would have seen that from you when I first met you. You didn't strike me as the type.

7. Of course I'm trying to make you blush! I decided to make it my life's goal about 10 seconds after you tried to make my head explode. As for your selections, I've never heard of Ambre and I've never seen Rock of Love but I really can't judge too harshly. I TiVo WWE Monday Night Raw. So... yeah. *shifty eyes*
