Then he started talking like Tommy was not there and her heart beat faster. If he wanted to scare her into submitting...well clearly he had no idea who he had m-- DAMN IT! She couldn't even think the word. "I will not." She said confidently as she met the hellfire in his eyes.
She met him half way, refusing to cower. Her Tommy was in there, beyond whatever this was. "You are not Tommy, you have no right to defend me. Or make demands of me." If whatever this was, was not her husband, she would fight against it.
