The words sank to the core of him, warming Tommy in places he hadn't known were cold until he'd met Zee for the first time. Turning his head, he shifted and caught her lips in his again, kissing her as he reached up to cradle her cheek and let his fingers slip down to caress the graceful line of her neck.
There was too much to say...too much to put into a simple 'I love you', so he tried as hard as he could to say it in that single caress...but as he deepened the kiss, he knew even that wasn't going to be enough. Maybe nothing ever would be...but he'd give it his best shot.
